The Continental Airlines OnePass Frequent Flyer program lets you earn miles when you fly on Continental Airlines or on any of the other 26 airlines in the Star Alliance. You can also earn miles when you rent a car from one of eight national chains, or stay at one of the 68 hotel partners. And with a Continental Airlines credit card, you can earn miles even when you are not traveling.
Log into your frequent flyer account or call Continental Airlines to redeem miles. You need your OnePass account number and Personal Identification Number, (PIN) both of which you receive when you register for a free frequent flyer account.
Enter search criteria, including where you want to fly to, when you want to fly, and what class of cabin you want to fly. You can search nearby airports for more flight options, and restrict your choices to nonstop flights only, if you wish. You can also choose Continental Airlines flights only, but if you expand the search to the airlines in the Star Alliance, you might increase your chances of finding a flight.
Select flights, which are displayed with the number of miles needed, class of service, number of stops and time of flights. You choose each leg separately, so you can get a low mileage SaverPass Economy ticket one way, and an EasyPass requiring more miles the other. After you choose your flights, you enter your passenger information, then complete the purchase by clicking "Redeem."
Upgrade a paid flight with OnePass miles by purchasing a flight with upgrade eligibility. You can upgrade to First Class, Business Class or BusinessFirst on Continental Airlines and Star Alliance partner flights. Upgrades may be requested 24 hours before departure, and you need your OnePass account number and PIN. If you can't get a confirmed upgrade, you can also go on a wait list, and if you don't get an upgrade through the wait list, you can try through standby. Depending on the class of your ticket, you may have to pay a fee in addition to the miles you redeem.
