Slow cookers are usually challenging to clean because food gets baked onto the inner pot and doesn't come off easily in the dishwasher. Plus, you can't put the heating element (lower part of the slow cooker) in water. This tutorial will take the headache out of cleaning your slow cooker and will leave it sparkling clean!

Step 2: Use scrub sponge to apply soft scrub to heating element.

The heating element is the bottom part of your slow cooker that actually heats the ingredients in the pot. It cannot be immersed in water. Dampen your scrub sponge and dip it in the soft scrub mixture, then apply it to your heating elements and gently scrub any stuck-on or burned-on food off of the heating element.

Step 3: Clean the inner pot.

Using the soft scrub mixture and scrub sponge to gently remove any burned on food from the inner pot. The dishwasher usually doesn't remove the burned on food, and with this method, there is no use for soaking overnight.

Step 4: Use a clean cloth to remove any residue.

Use a clean cloth to remove any of the soft scrub mixture and residue that it has loosened from the heating element and inner pot of your slow cooker. No water needed! Just be sure to wipe clean.
