      Clean your sink and fill it with very hot water. Use the hottest setting the faucet allows.

      Add strips of aluminum foil, baking soda and salt to the water. The amount added depends on the size of the sink. Add equal amounts of baking soda and salt until the solution is slightly cloudy. Add enough aluminum foil to cover the surface of the water.

      Place the tarnished silverware in the sink.

      Allow the silverware to sit in the sink for a few minutes. The tarnish will remove from the silver and be attached to the strips of aluminum foil.
