1
Brush eyebrow hair upward using a brow brush. This will show you where your extra-long brow hairs are, and your natural brow line.
-
2
Trim long brow hairs with grooming scissors. The long brows will be easy to see because they are extending above the brow line. Do not pluck these hairs; only trim them because plucking them will cause thin eyebrows.

3
Stand in front of a mirror that has an abundance of natural light. Avoid standing too close to the mirror -- 1 foot at minimum -- to prevent over-plucking.
-
4
Avoid focusing on every single hair when plucking, according to "Real Simple" because this will create uneven and thin eyebrows.
-
5
Comb eyebrows to their natural shape using the eyebrow brush. Verify that you removed the hairs under the brow line, not above. Eyebrow hairs should only be plucked below the brow line, never above, recommends "Women's Day."
