How to Track an Insured USPS Package

The United States Postal Service allows you to purchase insurance on all of its mailing services. Insurance provides reimbursement in the event USPS loses and damages your package in transit. You can choose the amount of insurance you want to purchase, and you will only pay for the amount of insurance selected. You can also track any insured package using the USPS track and confirm system.

Instructions

1. Locate your USPS tracking number. You can find this number at the bottom of the receipt you received at the time you insured the package.

2. Go to the "Track & Confirm" tool on the USPS website.

3. Enter the tracking number in the text box.

4. Click the "Go" button to display tracking information for your insured package.
