How to Make Red & White Valentine Centerpieces
Red and white centerpieces for Valentine's Day can set the romantic tone for a celebration of any size. Store-bought centerpieces can get quite expensive, especially during Valentine's Day. Homemade centerpieces give you the flexibility to use whatever materials you like best. Whether you are making a centerpiece for an intimate dinner for two, or if you are making many centerpieces for a larger event, these simple-to-make centerpieces will add color to your table while also being festive.
Things You'll Need
- Glass vase
- Red and white tulips
- Red and white conversation hearts
- Red hots candy
Instructions

1
Choose a vase that you would like to use as the base of the centerpiece.
-
2
Place tulips in the empty vase. You will want the bulb of the tulip to just peek over the rim of the vase. You should not be able to see any stem above the rim. Slowly trim off a little bit of the stem at a time until the tulips are all the correct height.

-
3
Remove tulips from the vase and put aside.
-
4
Fill vase up 3/4 of the way with red and white conversation hearts or red hots candy. Do not fill up all of the way because you will need room to move the flowers around.
-
5
Place the tulips in the vase one at a time until the vase is filled with flowers.
-
6
Add in more conversation hearts or red hots until the vase is full and the tulips are secure.
-
7
Place in the center of each table.

Tips & Warnings
If you are using red hots candy in your base, you may want to use only white tulips for a more dramatic effect.
