Instructions

1
Visit the Oregon Library2Go website on your computer, e-reader or smartphone.
-
2
Click on the red "Advanced search" link to the right of the general search box and below the yellow navigation tabs. Conducting a general search returns results for both audiobooks and e-books. Additionally, results feature titles already checked out and those ready for download.
-
-
3
Create search parameters. If you have a particular title or author in mind, type this information into the corresponding fields on the advance search screen. Otherwise, leave the field blank to find more titles. Use the drop-down subject menu to select a particular genre such as action, fantasy and gardening. If you don't have a preference, leave on all subjects to browse as many e-book titles as possible.
-
4
Choose an e-book type. Under the format menu, select either Adobe EPUB e-book or Adobe PDF e-book. Note that EPUB e-books generally allow the reader to change the size of the font and text style. PDF e-books may or may not allow the font size to be changed in order to preserve page layout.
-
5
Limit your search criteria. To display e-book titles available for immediate download, check the box at the bottom of the search parameters titled "only show titles with copies available." This eliminates searching through thousands of e-books currently being read by other library users.
-
6
Conduct your search by clicking on the search button at the bottom of the form. Library2Go immediately displays all available e-books fitting your search parameters. Once you find the perfect title, add it to your cart before another user claims it. Enter your Oregon library card number when prompted to complete your checkout.
