How to Turn Your Hobby Into an E-Book
If you have a hobby that you are passionate about and are looking to make some extra money from it, writing an e-book is a great way to do so. People are constantly searching the Internet for products and books that tell them how to do something. If your hobby or area of expertise is lacking a "how to" resource, then you might want to consider writing one yourself and selling it online. The best selling e-books are ones that solve problems and provide a good return on investment, with high quality information.
Instructions

-
1
Narrow down your hobby and choose a niche that you will write about. For example, if you want to write about tuning Hondas, you would be better off choosing a specific make, model and year to write about, such as "How to tune 1988-1991 Honda Civics." Choosing your niche allows you to write a more complete and focused e-book.
-
2
Create a general outline of your e-book before you begin writing. Focus on what aspects of your hobby you want to cover, and break your e-book down into manageable subsections. Most e-books are between 30 to 100 pages.
-
-
3
Find resources online and at the library about your hobby. This will allow you to reference certain topics that you are less clear about and will allow you to write a more precise e-book than simply writing from what you know about your hobby off the top of your head.
-
4
Create a bookmarks folder in your Internet browser, and place all of your referenced material there. Name and add descriptions to your bookmarks accordingly so you can remember why you bookmarked them and can easily reference back while you progress through your e-book.
-
5
Refer back to the outline for your e-book and your compiled research, and start thinking about how you will write it. Read posts and articles from sites you like to help motivate you and get you in the right frame of mind to begin writing.
-
6
Eliminate all distractions and begin writing about your hobby based on the outline you created earlier. Don't worry about grammar, punctuation and sentence structure at this point. The goal of your first draft is to simply get your thoughts on paper.
-
7
Edit your first draft to begin tightening up your thoughts and sentence structure. Repeat this step for your second and third draft. Ideally, you can have a partner check your work as well before publishing your e-book.

Tips & Warnings
Keep all of your rough drafts so you can reference back to them if you've made a mistake.
