How to Place Text in Paint Shop

PaintShop Pro is an image editing program for computer that allow users to, among other things, modify photos. For users who want to get the most out of the software, there is even an official "PaintShop Pro" magazine that is filled with tips and tutorials. Simple image editing effects like placing text over a picture is easy enough that all users of the program can do it however. It can even be done with the free trial version of the software.

Instructions

      Start your copy of "PaintShop" and click "File" then "Open" to select a image file to which you want to add the text. You can also click "File" then "New" to work on a blank canvas.

      Click the icon with the capital letter "A" on the tool opions bar located at the top of the program screen. This selects the text tool with which you place text in "PaintShop."

      Move the mouse cursor to the area you want to place the text. Left-click once to open up the text entry box where you specify what text you want to place.

      Click the drop down menu under the "Name" option to choose a font for your text. A list of all available fonts installed on your computer is shown. Click on your font of choice.

      Click the drop down menu next to "Size" to select the size of the text you want to place.

      Click "Strokes" under the "Styles" option to set the outline color of the text. Click "Fill" to set the fill color of the text.

      Click "Ok" to finalize the text and place it in "PaintShop." Click the icon that looks like four arrows pointing in different directions (the mover tool) from the tool menu. Left-click on the text then while holding down the button move the mouse around to move the text with it and place it exactly where you want it to be.
