How to Donate Books to the Salvation Army
The Salvation Army, founded in 1881, aims to assist people in need through 119 U.S.-based locations. By accepting monetary donations, donations of goods and the hard work of volunteers, the Salvation Army is able to provide substance abuse assistance, inexpensive child care for at-risk kids and domestic violence intervention. In some cases, the Salvation Army will send a truck to pick up donated items, including books. You can also visit your local Salvation Army location to donate your books.
