How to Update My Facebook Status in an Email
Facebook offers several options for updating while on the go, including the ability to post by email. Whether you're using a mobile device or a computer, you can post text, videos or email through Facebook Mobile. To make updating your status via email possible, Facebook Mobile assigns each user a personal upload address. When you send an email to your unique address, the subject posts to your wall. To post a video or image, attach it to the email before sending it to your personalized address.

Sign in to your Facebook account.

Visit the Facebook Mobile page. The page should list an email address to which you can send an update. You can also have Facebook send you an address.

Click "Send My Upload Email to Me Now." A new window will pop up.

Select an email address from the drop-down Email Address menu. Click "Send Email." Alternatively, click the "Or Text to My Phone" link. Enter your country and mobile phone number. Click "Text Link to My Phone."

Check your email or phone for a message from Facebook. This message contains the email address to use for your update.

Create a new email. Type the address from Facebook into the "To" field. Type your update in the subject line of the email. Send your update.
