How to Find Paint Shop Pro Filters

Paint Shop Pro filters are a fun and easy way to add interesting effects to a graphic. Many Web sites offer free or low-cost filters.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Check your Paint Shop Pro disks to see which filters you already have. Filters that are shipped with the program appear under the Image menu and include Blur, Edge, Noise, Sharpen and others. Plug-in (downloaded) filters are located under the Image menu option Plug-in Filters.

  2. Step 2

    Visit the Paint Shop Pro Users Group (pspug.org) and click on Filters. Follow the directions for downloading plug-ins.

  3. Step 3

    Click on other sites on the Paint Shop Pro Users Group Web ring. Many sites offer tutorials and filters.

  4. Step 4

    Visit sites that offer Photoshop filters. Most Photoshop filters also work with Paint Shop Pro.

Tips & Warnings
  • Some filters must be purchased, but the authors may allow you to demo the filter or see what the image will look like when the filter is applied.
  • Most purchased filters come in a package of several filters and are easy to install.
  • Ask permission before downloading any filter that does not say "free" or "shareware."
