How to Edit the Registry Without Typing in Regedit or Regedt32

If you want to edit the registry in Windows, then you must use the Windows Registry Editor. The registry is a database of configurations and settings that affects everything in Windows from the operating system to individual settings within your software. The quickest way to open the Registry Editor is to use the "regedit" command, but if you prefer, you can easily navigate to the program yourself.

Instructions

1. Click "Start," then "Computer."

2. Double-click on the "C" drive (your main boot disk).

3. Double-click "Windows." Click "Yes" if the User Account Control window appears, and enter your administrator password if prompted.

4. Double-click "regedit" to open the Windows Registry Editor without typing anything.
