Installation of Microsoft PowerPoint
Microsoft PowerPoint 2010, as part of Microsoft Office 2010, is a presentation and slideshow software program. Installing PowerPoint 2010 requires the appropriate software disc and the included software product key. Microsoft PowerPoint offers a custom installation for advanced users, where you only install certain components. However, the recommended installation installs the most typically used components. Once installed, restart the computer for the Microsoft PowerPoint configuration process to take place.

Open the computer's CD-ROM drive. Insert the Microsoft PowerPoint installation disc. The Installation Wizard automatically begins when the computer detects the disc.

Type your name, initials and organization. Type the Microsoft PowerPoint product key that came with the disc in the five blank data spaces. Click "Next."

Check the box next to "I accept this agreement" at the end of the license agreement form. Click "Next."

Click the radio button next to the "Recommended Installation" option to install the recommended PowerPoint files.

Click "Install." An installation screen appears and Microsoft PowerPoint downloads to your computer hard drive.

Wait for installation to fully complete. Click the "Finish" button to close the installation screen.

Click "Start" and click "Restart" to restart your computer.
