How Do You Play a FLAC File?
The popular lossless audio codec FLAC compresses raw audio data into files with no loss of sound quality. Many collectors like to encode their music in FLAC because it ensures everything is accurately and fully reproduced when the file is played. Neither iTunes nor Windows Media Player supports FLAC, but many free third-party programs for Windows, Mac OS and Linux can play the format easily.
