Instructions

    • 1

Place the bait into the end of the throwing stick. Make sure the throwing stick is clean to prevent a clog.

    • 2

Stand as you would if you were casting out line, feet apart and dominant side closer to the water.

    • 3

Look directly at your target area and don't lose eye contact. Place the throwing stick in your dominant hand.

    • 4

Bring your arm back to a point slightly behind your head with the tip of the throwing stick pointing up.

    • 5

Flick your wrist slightly to launch the bait toward the target. Not much energy is needed to send the bait several dozen yards. Your arm should finish slightly in front of you.

Tips & Warnings

  • Practice the technique using small stones to avoid wasting costly bait.

  • Clean out the throwing stick after use to prevent any clogging.
