  1. Preparing the Machine

      Assemble the Beer Machine 2000 if it is not already assembled. To assemble the Beer Machine 2000 you will need to install the carbonation unit on the bottom half of the machine and the pressure control valve, carbonation unit and spigot on the top of the machine. The main seal attaches in between the top and bottom parts of the machine which are held together by clamps.

      Perform a pressure test by filling the Beer Machine 2000 with cold tap water. Pressurize the Beer Machine by releasing two or three small bursts of CO2. Check for water leakage. If the machine leaks, it may be from poor installation. Reassemble and perform the test again. To check for gas leaks, release small bursts of CO2 until bubbles appear near the pressure control valve.

      Sterilize the Beer Machine 2000 by pouring 3 quarts of cold water and 1/4 cup of chlorine bleach into the Beer Machine 2000 without the defoamer disk. Tighten the top cap and gently shake the Beer Machine in all directions. Open the spigot to sterilize the tube. Empty out contents then rise the Beer Machine 2000 with cold water. After sterilization, attach the defoamer disk.

      Add warm tap water up to 1/3 fill line on the Beer 2000 Machine. Open and pour the Beer Mix into the machine. Do not stir the mixture. Add the yeast packet and add water to the full line.

      Leave the Beer Machine on a kitchen counter at room temperature (around 68 degrees Fahrenheit) for three to five days to start the fermentation process. Add small amounts of water on top of the pressure control valve to observe speed of fermentation.

      Place the Beer Machine 2000 in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 days. By placing the Beer Machine 2000 in the refrigerator, the beer conditions and clarifies. Natural carbonation produced during fermentation period absorbs into the beer, and internal pressure reduces.You may increase by adding CO2 from the carbonation unit at this time, or add when serving.

      Pour beer into your favorite pint glass from the Beer Machine 2000's tap and enjoy your homemade brew.

Tips & Warnings

  • Once the beer is ready for consumption, the beer will last at least 3 months if kept in the refrigerator.

  • Bottle the beer if you prefer. Bottling kits are available on the Beer Machine's website (See "Resources") or at a specialty store that caters to home brewers.
