Simple Way to Clean Gutters
Gutter cleaning is one of those things that homeowners like to put off. However, out of sight, out of mind is not a good thing because, eventually, your gutters will clog up with leaves and debris and you will end up outside on a ladder during a rain storm in an effort to clean them out. If you clean your gutters twice per year, you will make the task much easier. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Place a ladder long enough to reach your gutters against the house next to the downspout.
-
2
Place your garden hose nozzle down into the spout and spray into the spout to remove any debris in the hole. Do this until water flows freely from the bottom of the downspout.

3
Scoop the leaves and debris out of the gutter with your hands and place them in a 5-gallon bucket. Use a pair of rubber gloves to protect your hands from the dirt. If the gutters are clogged and full of water, you will not require the use of a bristle brush to remove the leaves. If the gutters are dry or just moist, use the bristle brush to scrape the leaves off the inside of the gutter. Move away from the downspout as you clean out the leaves.

4
Place the nozzle into the gutter at the far end of the house. Spray the water into the gutter to clean out the smaller loose debris. If the downspout clogs, repeat step two.
