1. Go to your local wholesale club and go to the customer service desk. Sign up for a membership, which will allow you to buy items inside the store. You may be given a coupon booklet to let you know which items currently qualify for coupon discounts.

2. Grab a shopping cart or flatbed, as dog food bags are extremely large and heavy. Locate the pet section inside the store.

3. Search for your dog's usual food. Look for coupons for the brand you are buying to save even more on your bulk purchase.

4. Load the dog food into the cart or onto the flatbed. If help is needed, ask an employee. Some wholesale clubs offer a larger discount if more multiple units are purchased. Ask about these extra discounts.

5. Bring the merchandise to the cash register and present the cashier with your membership card. Give the cashier all coupons relevant to the purchase.
