Have you ever brought home a take and bake pizza, prepped it for baking, and then decided to make it later, only to discover that you tossed out the baking instructions? If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Fortunately, all it takes is a few minutes online to locate Papa Murphy’s baking instructions.

Papa Murphy’s Baking Instructions

Once you’re home with your take and bake pizza, it’s time to get cooking. For a delicious take and bake with the perfect crust, follow the Papa Murphy's cooking instructions.

  • Remove the plastic wrap. Keep the pizza on the cardboard tray.
  • Heat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit for the traditional pizza or 350 degrees Fahrenheit

    for stuffed.
Place the pizza on the center oven rack. If baking a thin crust, place on lower oven rack.
    For the original crust,

bake for 12 to 18 minutes. Bake Papa Murphy’s stuffed pizza

for 32 to 40 minutes. Pizza is ready when golden brown.
Remove and let your take and bake cool for 5 minutes before cutting.

If you’re craving a crispier crust, take the pizza out after 10 minutes and set it on the counter. Next, remove the pizza from the cardboard tray and place it directly on the oven rack. The pizza will be hot, so make sure to wear oven gloves. Check for desired crispness about every 1 to 2 minutes.

Grilling Take and Bake Pizza

Move over burgers – grilling take and bake pizza is one of the best ways to enjoy this Friday night favorite. To grill Papa Murphy’s pizza, you can use a gas grill, charcoal grill or a wood pellet grill. While the flavors may come alive with this method, be prepared to wait a bit longer for your pizza to cook.

On average, it takes anywhere from 30 to 40 minutes to grill a take and bake pizza. This includes prepping the grill and grilling time. So, if you’re in a hurry and want your pizza as soon as possible, you might want to stick to the oven method.

Refrigerating Take and Bake Pizza

Generally speaking, you should either bake or refrigerate a Papa Murphy's stuffed pizza, or any take and bake pizza, within an hour of purchase. Since the dough is raw, leaving it out at room temperature for too long can cause it to go bad.

That said, if you bring your pizza home and decide to wait until the next day to bake it, make sure you take it out of the refrigerator and allow it to sit at room temperature for an hour before putting it in the oven.

Tip

If you want to pick up your take and bake, but don't plan to bake it for a while, you can ask a Papa Murphy's crew member to make your pizza on a "cold crust." This method ensures that your pizza will bake up much better when it's time to cook it up.

What to Do With Leftovers

If you have leftovers, put them in plastic resealable bags or a container with a tight-fitting lid before placing in the refrigerator. To freeze Papa Murphy's stuffed pizza or any of their styles of take and bake, wrap the individual slices in plastic wrap or foil.

Then, place the slices in freezer bags before storing them in the freezer. You can leave the cooked take and bake pizza in the refrigerator for three to four days or in the freezer for one to two months.

When you're ready to feast on your leftovers, simply take them out of the freezer and place them in the refrigerator overnight to thaw. Then, choose your favorite heating method to reheat Papa Murphy's stuffed pizza. Some of the best ways to reheat take and bake pizza include the toaster oven, conventional oven, microwave and skillet.
