Puffy paint comes in different colors and textures

Getting three dimensional paint effects on crafts couldn't be easier. Puffy paint comes in pen applicators. Use puffy paint pens to draw or color your design, apply heat and let the paint puff up. Add the paint to card stock, paper or fabric. The paint is machine washable so use it to add funky designs to clothes. It's easy enough for kids to do.

Instructions

  1. How to Use Puffy Paint

    • 1

Draw your design onto the item you want to decorate. Use a washable chalk or pencil if it is on cloth. Make fine lines if you are working on paper or card stock. The paint will cover thin lines.

    • 2

Apply the nib of the paint pen to the paper or fabric, squeezing the pen gently to force paint out.

    • 3

Draw over your guide lines with the paint pen.

    • 4

Heat the paint with the hair dryer. Hold the hair dryer as close to the paint as possible without touching it. Use the hairdryer on its hottest setting. The paint will puff as the heat is applied.

Tips & Warnings

  • Not heating the puff paint will leave it glossy and less puffed.

  • Varnish over the paint for a full-gloss effect on paper.
