How to Update Your Facebook Status via Email

Post to your Facebook wall anywhere using email.

Facebook provides several ways for you to keep your friends informed with status updates. You can use text messages, a Web browser, mobile applications or email to post to your Facebook wall. Using your secure Facebook email address you can post your status to your own Facebook wall.

Instructions

1. Log into Facebook. Click the Account drop-down menu in the upper right and choose Account Settings. The My Account page with all your various settings will open.

2. Choose the Mobile tab at the top and click the Go to Facebook Mobile link in the top right. The mobile page offers you several options, including the option to update via email. Find your personalized email address under Upload via Email.

3. Save your email address in your email contacts or address book. Click the "Send me my upload email" link to have the address forwarded to you. Naming the contact "Facebook" will help you to find the email address quickly.

4. Compose an email to your Facebook email address and enter your Facebook status in the subject field. The body of the email won't appear in Facebook.
