How to Get Past the Laser on Poptropica Spy Island
"Spy Island" was the sixth island added to the online game "Poptropica" in 2008. As the name suggests, the island has a spy theme centering around three top spies that have been captured by a evil group called "Bald And Dangerous." Players must help the inhabitants of Spy Island, who are losing their hair due to the antics of "B.A.D." To enter the "B.A.D" base, players must pass laser barriers that are invisible to the naked eye.

Go to Balding Avenue and use the bowtie grappling hook to gain access to the greenhouse. The tie is gained by releasing the captured spy on Toupee Terrace.

Click the air vent to enter the greenhouse from the roof. Click on the cherry bomb that is growing on the tree at the far right of the building.

Push the bomb by standing next to it and holding down the left mouse button while facing the direction you want to move it. Move the bomb over the floor until it is on top of the spring plant, which will shoot the bomb up.

Click on the bowtie and then click at the top of the screen at the same spot where the bomb was launched. This launches you so you reach the bomb again.

Push the bomb toward the left of the platform until it falls and then jump after it. Push it left onto the next spring plant and then use the bowtie again to follow it up.

Push the bomb left until it is next to the door of the cage holding the captured spy. Wait until the bomb explodes and destroys the cage door. Click on the spy to receive a pair of "Ultra Vision Goggles." The goggles allow the wearer to see the lasers surrounding the "B.A.D" headquarters.

Exit the greenhouse through the air vent you entered through. Go right until you reach a fence with a sign attached that reads "B.A.D Control Center."

Click on "Items" at the top of the screen. Click "Ultra Vision Goggles" and then "Put On." Your character will wear the glasses, which make the laser beams visible.

Wait for the laser beams to disappear before making your way past them. Before wearing the goggles, the beams would be invisible until you walked into them but with the goggles you are able to see exactly where the beams are and when they turn on and off.
