How to Store Dehydrated Sweet Potatoes
The sweet potato is a nutritious root vegetable with a rich, orange color. Sweet potatoes are used as a side dish in many meals, and also as an a main ingredient in pies and soups. Dehydrated sweet potato makes a convenient snack food, or dog treat. You can dehydrate sweet potatoes yourself with the help of a food dehydrator or oven, or buy them already dried. Pack sweet potato chips or slices into a Mason jar, and seal the lid securely so it is air tight.

Pack the dehydrated sweet potato into a vacuum seal bag if you have a sealer and suck the air out of the bag. Seal it according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Label your jar or bag with the contents and the date they were dehydrated. Also add how many potatoes worth of dehydrated slices are in each container, to help when planning to make a recipe if they will need to be reconstituted.

Store the dehydrated sweet potatoes in a cool, dark place like the back of a pantry cupboard.
