Malicious programs reduce your available system memory.

Trojan.FakeAV is a process installed and used by a trojan bearing the same name. The Wscsvc32.exe process is installed and used by a rogue anti-malware program called Antivirus. Both malicious programs slow your computer, change your system configurations and put your personal information at risk. Removing the processes will disable the malicious programs. However, you will need to run an up-to-date anti-malware program to completely remove the malicious programs.

Instructions

      Log in to the Windows operating system using your administrator name and password.

      Click "Start," "All Programs," "Accessories" and "Command Prompt." The Windows Command Prompt opens.

      Type "tasklist" (without the quotation marks) into the Command Prompt, and press "Enter."

      Type "Taskkill /IM Wscsvc32.exe /F" (without the quotation marks) into the Command Prompt, and press "Enter."

    • 5

      Type "Taskkill /IM Trojan.FakeAV.exe /F" (without the quotation marks) into the Command Prompt, and press "Enter."

    • 6

      Close the Command Prompt and restart your computer.
