How to Get Him to Be More Romantic
Whether your guy has always been romantically challenged or he has just lost touch with his romantic side, he may need a little inspiration from you. Even a man who once swept you off your feet can hit a romantic dry spell, so it's up to you to reignite his passion and help him rediscover how good it feels to be with you. The approach your man needs may vary -- some guys need a little prodding, while others need room to breath -- so be patient. Forcing him to be romantic won't work; it has to be something that happens naturally inside of him.

1
Plan a few dates on the town. Some guys stop being romantic because they simply run out of ideas or don't feel creative enough -- surprise him by planning your fun night out and remind him of how it feels to discover something new as a couple.
-
2
Show him romantic gestures in return. When your man does something right, reward him -- instead of "an eye for an eye," think, "a massage for a massage." It shows your man that you are invested in romance, too, and that his gestures don't go unnoticed or unappreciated.

3
Get some privacy. Your man can go to dinner with anyone -- try a secluded picnic where you two can enjoy some time alone out of your home. Remember that the first step to making a man act more romantic is making him feel more romantic.
-
4
Inject spontaneity into a routine relationship. Write a number of possible date venues on pieces of paper and place them in a bowl. Instead of trying to decide on a restaurant or movie, pick a piece of paper at random and embrace the unknown.
-
5
Allow him to take the lead sometimes. If you initiate romance all the time, he will come to expect it, so give him the freedom to plan dates, surprise you or make otherwise romantic gestures.

Tips & Warnings
Don't overtly pressure your man into being romantic, and don't criticize him for being unromantic. This only makes him defensive, and may dissuade him from making romantic efforts in the future.
