How to Take an EPT Test
If your period is late you can take a home pregnancy test to find out whether or not you may be pregnant. E.P.T, one of the most popular brands of tests, allows you to test as soon as you have missed your period in the convenience of your home. E.P.T pregnancy tests work by testing your urine for human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG); the pregnancy hormone that will be present in your system shortly following implantation and pregnancy.
Instructions

1
Wait until your period is at least one day late before taking the E.P.T home pregnancy test. Testing sooner than this can be inaccurate.
-
2
Remove the test stick from the foil wrapper and remove the purple cap from the absorbent tip on the test stick.
-
-
3
Point the test stick with the absorbent tip downwards and leave it in your urine stream for five seconds.
-
4
Place the test stick face-up on a flat surface.
-
5
Wait two minutes and then read the results on the test stick. A plus (+) sign means the test is positive and you may be pregnant. A minus (-) sign means the test is negative for pregnancy, and that you are most likely not pregnant.

Tips & Warnings
If you prefer to use a collection cup, collect your urine in a clean and dry cup and dip the absorbent tip in the cup for 20 seconds.
No home pregnancy test is 100% accurate. Consult your doctor if you have any unusual symptoms, or if the test results are not what you expect.
