How to Edit the Metadata for a Picture
Metadata is digital information stored on a file, such as a picture, video or audio file. Entering metadata for a picture tells future viewers of the picture information, such as the photographer's name, the date that the picture was taken, the type of camera used to take the picture and the original resolution of the picture. Microsoft offers a free plugin that allows you to input and edit metadata of images that you own.

Tips & Warnings
If the "Photo Info" selection does not appear, or an error is displayed after it is clicked, you must install the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, which is required to run the plugin. A link has been provided in the Resources section of this article to download the file. Follow the same installation procedure as followed when the Windows Imaging Component was downloaded and installed.
