Online auction sites can become addictive, particularly if you're bidding for a sought-after item and you want to keep making sure that your bid is the highest bid. If your ensnared in an eBay bidding war, entering your login information each time you access the website can be time-consuming and irritating. Set up your eBay account to automatically log you in when you access website on specific Web browsers on specific machines by changing the settings on the eBay user log-in page.
Open your computer's Web browser. Navigate to ebay.com.
Click "Sign In" in the upper-left corner of the eBay homepage, to the right of the eBay logo.
Type your eBay User ID and password into the log-in fields beneath "Sign in to your account."
Click the check-box to the left of "Keep me signed in." This option automatically signs you in to eBay each time you visit the site on this machine using this Web browser. Click the "Sign In" button to enter eBay.
Tips & Warnings
- Deselect the "Keep me signed in" option if you're using a shared computer at work or in an Internet café, as other users may be able to access your account.
