How to Delete AV Security Suite

AV Security Suite's constant pop-ups can be a real headache.

AV Security Suite is a malware program designed to look like a legitimate desktop security utility. This sneaky virus creates pop-ups that warn users that the security of their computer is at risk and urges them to purchase the full version of Security Suite. Trouble is, AV Security Suite isn't a real program, so any purchase you make is just money in the malware programmers' pockets. Worst of all, AV Security Suite sometimes blocks your actual antivirus software from running. By entering your computer's safe mode, you can quickly show AV Security Suite who's boss.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch your antivirus software. If AV Security Suite is successfully blocking your antivirus software from running, restart your computer. Press the "F8" key during the boot sequence to open a menu of boot options. You may need to press the key several times. Use the arrow keys to select "Safe Mode," and press "Enter." Once Windows has booted up in safe mode, launch your antivirus software.

    • 2

Perform a full system scan with your antivirus program. A quick scan may save you time, but if you have evidence that a virus is loose on your computer, waiting through a full scan is the best way to be sure that nothing stays hidden. Allow the entire scan to finish, even if it seems that the AV Security Suite virus is found early on.

Follow your antivirus program's removal instructions to get rid of the virus. If your antivirus program does not offer registry cleaning as well, you may want to run a separate registry cleaning program to make sure that any changes that AV Security Suite made to your registry are removed.
