How to Delete the Gmail App on a BlackBerry

The Gmail app permits BlackBerry users to quickly read and send email messages using the smartphone. While convenient for many Gmail users, you may decide that you no longer want to use this program. Press the "Menu" key on the BlackBerry home screen and select "Options."

Click "Advanced Options" and highlight "Applications." Press the trackpad.

Highlight the Gmail app when the list of applications installed on the BlackBerry has populated. Press the "Menu" key.

Click "Delete" and press the trackpad to confirm your selection. The Gmail app will disappear from the list of installed apps when it has been deleted.

Tips & Warnings
Remove the battery from your BlackBerry if the Gmail icon remains after you've followed the procedure to uninstall the app. Reconnect the battery after one minute.
