How to Make Tub Teas With Tulle
Tub teas are exactly what they sound like: tea bags for the tub. Drop a tub tea bag into your bath and fill with water, then smell the aroma of soothing scents from the tea in the air. Tub teas offer personal relaxation, or they also become scented gifts during the holidays. Tub teas make great stocking stuffers or party favors. With a big batch of ingredients, you make several tea bags in one sitting.

1
Cut tulle fabric into squares that measure 4 inches on each side. You need a pair of squares for each tub tea that you make. Use pinking shears if you have them to give a decorative edging to the project and prevent fraying.
-
2
Lay one tulle square on top of another and glue them together on three sides. Leave the fourth side open like a pocket. Set the tulle pouches aside to dry completely.

3
Combine 1 cup sea salt, 1 cup oatmeal flakes and 1 cup dried herbs, such as lavender or chamomile flowers, in a large mixing bowl. Stir in 10 drops of your favorite essential oils, such as vanilla and lavender.
-
4
Scoop a spoonful of the mixture from step 3 into each pouch you created with the tulle. Glue the final edges shut and wait for them to dry.
-
5
Drop one tea bag into the tub as it fills with water to test your creation.
