Things You'll Need

• Component video cables
• Digital-optical audio cable

Instructions

1. Plug the digital-optical audio cable into the "Digital Audio Out" port on the standard-definition device you want connected to the television.

2. Attach the opposite end of the cable into the "Digital Audio In" port on your HDTV.

3. Connect the red, green and blue component video cables into the "Component Out" ports on the standard-definition, or SD, device.

4. Attach the free ends of the cables into the "Component In" ports on your HDTV.

5. Turn on the TV and the standard-definition equipment. Select "Component Video" as the input option.
