How to Get PDF-Converted Files to Your Kindle
The Amazon Kindle is one of the most popular e-readers on the market. In addition to allowing you to download e-books straight from the Amazon store, the Kindle allows you to read PDFs. Unlike e-books from the Amazon store, you will have to transfer PDFs to your Kindle either by using a standard USB cable or by emailing the file to your Kindle.
Instructions
-
Via USB cable
-
1
Plug the USB cable into the USB port at the bottom of your Kindle.
-
2
Plug the other end of the USB cable into your computer.
-
-
3
Double-click the "My Computer" icon on your desktop and double-click the Kindle icon, which can be found under the "Device with Removable Storage" heading. If you are using a Mac, double-click on the flash drive icon on your desktop.
-
4
Drag the PDF from your computer to the "Documents" directory on your Kindle.
-
5
Unmount the Kindle flash drive and disconnect it from your computer. In Windows, you can do this by right-clicking the Kindle icon and selecting "Safely Remove." If you are using a Mac, you can do this by dragging the Kindle flash drive icon to the trash bin.
Via Email
-

Go to the "Your Kindle" section of your account. Click "Edit Info."

Locate the "Kindle approved e-mail list" header in your Amazon account. Enter your normal email address (not your Kindle email address) in the supplied text box and click "Add Address."
-

Compose a new email, using your normal email account. Attach the PDF to the email. Send the email to your @Kindle.com account. You should receive the PDF in about five minutes.
