How to Send a Text Message From a PC to a Sprint Phone
Probably the normal way you would send a text message to another person is by typing the message into your cellphone, selecting the other person's phone number and pressing "Send." If you're on your computer, though, and want to send a text message to someone who has Sprint service, you don't need to grab your cellphone. In a few steps, compose an email that will translate into a text message and send it to the other person's cellphones.

Send a text message without logging in to your email by visiting one of the Internet's free messaging sites, such as Mobile Mammoth, txt2day or txtDrop. Enter the recipient's cellphone number and select "Sprint" from the drop-down menu. Type in your message and click "Send."

If the recipient responds to a text you sent with your PC, the response will come back by the same method. The text message will come to your email inbox.
Using one of these options is free to the sender; however, the recipient may pay a fee for receiving the text.
