A Starbucks card provides purchasing convenience for trips to Starbucks for beverages or snacks and are popular with coffee and tea lovers. As you use a Starbucks card, your receipt will give you current balance information. You can also check your Starbucks balance in other ways to make sure you have enough funds to buy your next espresso.
Visit the Starbucks website. Select "Card" to go to the page designed for checking the balance of your Starbucks card.
Find the card number on the back of your Starbucks card and enter it into the "Card Number" field. Do not enter spaces or dashes in the card number.
Enter the eight-digit "Security Code" from the back of your Starbucks card in the "Security Code" field.
Click "Check My Balance." Your balance will appear with the current date and time.

- Visit a Starbucks store and ask an employee to swipe your card to learn the balance.
- Registering a Starbucks card -- by using the same card number and security code -- enters you into the Starbucks loyalty program. As you use your Starbucks card to make purchases, you will earn stars. By earning stars, you earn free beverages.
- Starbucks does not charge fees on unused card balances.
