If you have jailbroken your iPhone, then you will have access to Cydia, which is an application manager and launcher for unofficial applications. One of the applications that you can install is MobileTerminal. MobileTerminal is the terminal application for a jailbroken iPhone. MobileTerminal lets you have access to various commands which you would not otherwise be able to use. It is also useful if you plan to use your iPhone for networking at all.
Things You'll Need
Tap "Cydia" on your iPhone main menu. Wait a few moments while the source application loads.
Tap "Upgrade Essential" if it appears. This will update your applications list. Tap "Confirm" and then "Close Window." Re-open Cydia.
Tap "Install." Tap the "Terminal Support" menu and then "MobileTerminal." Tap "Install," and then "Confirm." This then downloads and installs the MobileTerminal for your iPhone.
