      Wrap floral wire around the top of a wreath. to create a loop at the back. Drive a large nail into a wall or other sturdy surface. Hang the loop in the wire over the nail to hang the wreath on a wall. For ultimate simplicity, hang the wreath directly on the nail. For lightweight wreaths, use a smaller nail. For thin drywall, stone or masonry, use a wall anchor screw to secure the wreath in place.

      Hang the wreath on a door by using a wreath hanger. Place the wreath hanger over the door. Tie wide ribbon to the back of the wreath and loop the ribbon around the door hanger.

      Hang a wreath over a mirror by attaching a small nail to the back of the mirror frame. Tie a wide ribbon to the wreath and hang it from the small nail by looping the ribbon from the front of the mirror over the top frame to the back of the frame where the nail is. Hang a wreath from a doorway by driving a small nail into the top of the door frame, where it will not be seen, and looping the ribbon or wire over the nail.

      Hang a wreath over a part of the home or outdoors that naturally juts out, such as the back of the mailbox, a chair back, tree branch or flag pole. Simply place the middle of the wreath over the chair back, branch, flag pole or mailbox from a protrusion on the surface. You can also tie a ribbon to the top of the wreath and tie the other end of the ribbon to the object.

Tips & Warnings

  • Place self-adhesive Velcro strips on four opposite sides of the back of the wreath and corresponding places on the wall to hang it without leaving a hole. This works best with lightweight wreaths.
