      Enter the VIN number of the vehicle in question into the box labeled "ENTER VIN (Optional)." Click the green "Get the Carfax!" button.

      Enter your payment information into the address on screen. One Carfax report for a vehicle identification number history costs $34.99 (as of 2011). With your credit or debit card information entered into the boxes on screen along with your billing address, click "Buy Now."
