How to Combine Multiple Mac Files Into One With StuffIt
Rather than compressing individual files, you can compress a batch of files into one file, called an archive, with StuffIt. This saves bundles of room on your hard drive.
Instructions

1
Launch StuffIt.
-
2
Select the files you want compressed into an archive as a batch. Usually, you do this by clicking on each file name while you hold down the Shift key. Then you add them to the file list in the window provided.

Select Save. StuffIt Deluxe or Compact Pro does the rest.

Tips & Warnings
Decompressing the archive - usually by double-clicking - returns the combined files to discrete files.
Compressed files cannot be used by an application until they are decompressed. However, you can set StuffIt to do this automatically.
