How to Make Hobo Gloves
Fingerless gloves are also call "hobo" gloves. There are two styles of fingerless gloves. The first style is a modified knit glove with partial finger holes. The second style is made from a sweater sleeve without fingers. Make these gloves for yourself, family members, friends and as gifts. Use a variety of glove colors and embellishments to change the look of the gloves.
Things You'll Need
- Knit gloves
- Sewing chalk
- Scissors
- Large cup
- Fabric glue
- Paintbrush
- Paper plate
- Buttons or other embellishments

Put the gloves onto your hands. Mark a cut line on each finger with the chalk where you want to remove part of the glove to expose your fingers.

Remove the gloves and place them on a flat surface. Flatten the gloves out and cut the fingers at the chalk lines.

Turn a cup upside down. Place the glove over the cup with the fingers sticking up. This makes it easier to complete the gloves.

Pour some fabric glue on a paper plate. Dip the paintbrush in the glue. Paint the glue over the cut ends of the gloves to seal the edges and prevent fraying. Allow the gloves to dry for 24 hours.

Tips & Warnings
You can also make gloves from old sweater sleeves. Simply cut off the bottom cuff and part of the sleeve with scissors. You can make the gloves as long or short as you want. Cut a slit along the sweater seam to stick your thumb through. Glue the edges together. You now have completely fingerless hobo gloves.
Add buttons or other embellishments to the gloves for extra pizazz.
