How to Review Your Search History in Google

Google has moved far beyond simple Internet searches. You can now take advantage of many Google features, sites and applications, including Google Maps, Google Video and Google Documents. Google Web History is one feature you can enable if you have a Google Account. Once you log in, it records your search history by default, and you can visit the page any time to view a log of searches you have made.

      Sign in to your Google account.

      Click the "Options" icon (cog) in the top-right corner.

      Select "Web History" from the drop-down menu.

      Click "Resume Web History" to enable Google to keep a record of your Google search activity.

      Scroll down the page at any time to review your search history.

      View different months using the calendar on the right.

      Refine your search by typing keywords in the search box, then clicking "Search History."

Tips & Warnings

  • You can widen Google Web History to include all websites, not just Google searches, by clicking "Expand your web history."
