Your search history can reveal all of your searches to anyone who has access to your computer. Eliminating your search history is a quick and simple process. It can be done in a matter of seconds when the Internet user is finished with their surfing experience.

Instructions

  1. Firefox

      Click the "Tools" menu in the Firefox menu bar, and click "Options."

      Click the "Privacy" icon and click the underlined link that says "clear your recent history."

      Choose the time range to clear by clicking the top tab that has the default setting as "Everything". You can clear the history for the last hour, two or four hours, today's history, or everything. Check the boxes to individually choose what files you want to reset. You can also choose to eliminate only the "Form & Search History." You can also chose to eliminate your cookies, browsing history and other data.

    Internet Explorer

      Click "Tools" in the top row of your browser.

      Click "Delete Browsing History."

    • 6

      Check the "History" and "Form data" boxes. If you wish to delete other data as well, check the other boxes. Click "Delete".
