Kiddopotamus Instructions

Swaddling a newborn can provide warmth and a sense of security.

Swaddling a newborn in a light blanket is not a new tradition. Many mothers believe it can help the young babies sleep more easily by restricting movement and providing a sense of security and warmth. Some doctors even attribute swaddling to helping lower the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. However, the act of swaddling involves tucking that needs to be tight enough to restrict movement and not make the swaddle come apart too easily. The Kiddopotamus blanket takes out any of that difficulty.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the baby's legs down in the pouch. Leave the head laying just above the top edge of the Kiddopotamus swaddling blanket.

    • 2

Place the left wing of the blanket over the right side of the baby and tuck under the baby's right arm.

    • 3

Open the patch of fabric on the underside of the left wing and attach the Velcro to the top of the leg pouch.

    • 4

Wrap the blanket's right wing over the baby's left side. Open the Velcro patch under that wing and attach it to the patch on the left wing.
