How to Change Your Name on Yelp

With so many national restaurant chains and smaller owner-operated restaurants to choose from, sometimes you need a little help deciding where to eat. Yelp provides users with peer reviews, photos, ratings and other useful information to help them decide on a place to dine. Users can create a profile, rate restaurants and write reviews on their positive or negative experiences in a dining establishment. Whether you are chatting in a forum or writing a review, your name establishes who you are, and changing it takes only a few clicks.

Instructions

1. Click on the "Log In" link on the top-right corner of the Yelp homepage (see References). Log in to your account with your email address and password and click the "Log In" button.

2. Click on your current name on the top-right corner and select "Account Setting" in the drop-down menu.

3. Click on the "Manage Account Info" under the "Account Info" section of the page.

4. Change your first and last name. You may also change your Yelp nickname, which is displayed when you write reviews and post in forums.

5. Click the "Save" button to keep your new settings.
