1
Lay out newspaper on a work surface.
-
2
Combine equal parts of peat moss and perlite and pour it into the planting pot. Pour water over the soil until it is uniformly moist and the excess water runs out of the drainage holes in the bottom of the pot.
-
-
3
Create a hole in the planting medium deep enough so that the Kalanchoe will sit at the same depth as it is currently growing.
-
4
Remove the Kalanchoe from its pot and gently loosen the roots with your fingers. Carefully shake off as much of the potting soil as possible.
-
5
Place the roots into the hole and pack the soil around them. Water the Kalanchoe again, with lukewarm water, to settle the soil around the roots.
-
6
Place the Kalanchoe in an area of the home where the temperature remains between 75 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and at about 65 degrees at night.
-
7
Provide the Kalanchoe with sunshine in the morning and shade in the afternoon.
