Teens already have the natural beauty that comes with youth. For a festive occasion, such as a 15th birthday party, add a little more excitement to your look to mark the special event. Start with a clean slate. Cleanse your face and remove the remnants of any old makeup.

Apply a sheer foundation or a tinted moisturizer. Blend with your fingers or with a sponge to get even coverage. For teens, don't use heavy foundation. A sheer layer provides a good canvas for the rest of your makeup.

Create an evening look with a smoky eye. Line the bottom lash line with black or brown liner. On the lid, use a neutral gray- or silver-colored shadow. Line the top lash line with a deeper color like green or purple. In the outer corner of the lid, apply a shade of dark purple or dark gray. Lightly smudge the colors, and finish with mascara.

Place cream blush on the apples of your cheeks. Smile to see the highest point of your cheekbones, and blend blush onto those parts. Cream blush looks dewy and young, whereas powder can be aging.

Finish off with a light, sparkly lip gloss. With dramatic eye makeup, there's no need for equally dramatic lips. A natural pink or peach gloss completes the look.
