How to Block Sellers in eBay

If you have had unfavorable dealings with an eBay seller, or just know they cannot accommodate a specific request, you may prefer their listings not appear in your search results. Although there is no "blocked sellers" list on eBay, you can still block them from the advanced search options. That way, you do not litter the search results with their listings, nor do you accidentally bid on one of their auctions.

  • Go to the home page, and log in if you have an account. If you do not have an account, you can still use the advanced search feature.

  • Click "Advanced" to the right of the top "Search" button.

  • Enter the search keywords in the top "Enter keywords or item number" field, and enter any other search criteria you desire.

  • Scroll to the "Sellers" section near the bottom, and check "Only show items from:"

  • Click the circle next to "Specific sellers (enter seller's user IDs)."

  • Click the drop-down menu under "Specific sellers (enter seller's user IDs)," and select "Exclude."

  • Enter the seller's ID to the right of "Exclude." If you wish to exclude multiple sellers, place a space or comma between the series of IDs.

  • Click the bottom "Search" button to perform you search with your list of sellers blocked from the results.
