Eureka Tent Instructions

Eureka Tent Instructions thumbnail
Eureka manufactures several dome tents.

Eureka manufactures tents in various sizes and styles. The dome style tent is the most common, but the company also sells cabin tents, screen house tents and a few unique designs that assemble in a similar fashion as the dome tent but with an additional ridge pole. You can set up most of the tents yourself, but a helper will make the process much easier. Practice the setup at home to increase your efficiency.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the tent from the stuff sack and lay the tent with the floor on the ground. Spread out the materials and pull on each corner to tighten the floor.

    • 2

Assemble the two main poles by connecting the ferrules for each section. Slide the two poles through each sleeve on the tent body. Place the pin on each corner of the tent into the metal ferrule on the end of each corresponding tent pole. This will flex the poles and pitch the tent.

    • 3

Attach the clips on the tent body to the tent poles. Use a mallet or rock to pound stakes through the corner ground loops. Set the stakes at an angle to help bypass rocks and obstacles.

    • 4

Drape the rain fly on top of the tent. Align the corners and attach the clips on the interior of the fly to the poles. Attach the hook on each corner fly strap to the ring at the corner of the tent body. Stake the fly on tent models with a vestibule.

    • 5

Assemble the small fly poles and models without the vestibule. Insert each end of the poles into the sleeves located on the roof peak. There is one peak over the door and one over the back of the tent.

Tips & Warnings

  • Practice the setup process in your home before attempting while camping. Also test the tent in your backyard and spray it with a hose to ensure it does not leak and functions properly.

  • Always anchor your loose materials while erecting your tent. The tent acts like a parachute in the wind and could blow away or tear in strong winds.
