How to Insert the Bobbin in a Singer QuikFix Mending Machine

The Singer QuikFix Mending Machine is a sewing machine released by the Singer company and is intended for making quick and easy patches and mends on fabric. The Singer QuikFix's design is a portable, hand-held sewing machine that will fit in a purse or small bag. Sometimes, with this particular sewing machine, it can prove difficult to properly insert the bobbin. With some careful patience, you can do it in no time.

• Thread
• Bobbin

Instructions

1. Raise the pressure foot. Turn the hand wheel toward yourself until the needle is in a high position.

2. Pull 10 cm of thread from your new bobbin and insert it into the bobbin case under the slide plate. It should fit snugly.

3. Hold the bobbin in place and guide your thread into the first bobbin notch. There are two notches, and the first notch is the one on the right. Then guide the thread down the slot on the bobbin to the left and thread it into the second notch.

4. Draw a few inches of thread across the bobbin diagonally toward the back of the QuikFix machine.

5. Hold onto the thread on the outside and close the slide plate. The thread should come out through the slot between the needle plate and the slide plate.
